FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
