A woman indicted with stalking Kate McCann allegedly left her a voicemail message which asked: "suppose I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who witnesses stated has consistently claimed she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are standing trial indicted with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, the tribunal learned call records and data obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test throughout that period.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported investigations and continues to be unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

A separate phone message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine had been, but I believe what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "What if there is a tiny probability that I'm her? What then? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I only wish to know," she added.

The panel was told that through electronic messages, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a effort to display a likeness to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with the police force who compiled the information, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, Mr McCann picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I will continue and I intend to demonstrate my point."

The court heard the co-defendant struck up a connection online with Ms Wandelt preceding joining her on a trip to the McCanns' home in that area in that winter.

Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had communicated through WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to state the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she ought to be considered genuine in the time leading up to the visit to the village, Leicestershire, in last December.

The court heard message exchanges between the two defendants, in November 2024, planning trying to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her bins or from silverware at a restaurant.

On the evening of the visit to their residence, Mrs Spragg sent a communication which said: "We're currently sitting adjacent to the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark like investigators.
